Arsenal confident of signing Kieran Tierney as Gunners prepare second bid of £18m

The Bhoys rejected Arsenal’s opening offer of £15m with Neil Lennon’s side valuing the Scotland international at closer to £30m. Unai Emery has been given a modest £45m budget this summer and the Spaniard is wary of spending two-thirds of that on Tierney when other areas of the squad require investment. The Gunners are willing to offers players in exchange for Tierney but the Telegraph claim they will test Celtic’s resolve this week with an improved bid of £18m for the left-back. Tierney is believed to be keen on a move to the Emirates and feels ready to prove himself in the Premier League. Liverpool ace Andy Robertson is believed to have spoken to Tierney about his desire to leave Celtic Park and advised him to move south of the border.
