Honda, 33, is a free agent on the hunt for a new club and contacted United through social media in the hope he might catch Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s attention. He said: ‘Give me an offer. I don’t need money but I need to play with great team and great team mate.’ United are in the midst of an injury crisis up front and could do with more forward options. Give me an offer.
