The Frenchman – who is stalling on a new contract – has emerged as one of Zinedine Zidane’s top targets as he looks to overhaul Real’s squad in the summer following a disappointing campaign. Raiola was due in Manchester to speak to United bosses and, according to Marca, they have made it clear that Pogba will be staying at Old Trafford this summer. Raiola is believed to be keen to help Pogba secure a move to the Bernabeu (Picture: Getty) In fact, despite Pogba being keen to play under Zidane, United are still hopeful of extending his contract, which currently expires in 2021. United have also told Raiola that Jose Mourinho’s departure should mean that Pogba no longer has any issues at the club, with successor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer giving the Frenchman a much more prominent role. Zidane is keen to work with Pogba and believes his skillset is exactly what Real’s midfield needs, with the Spanish giants prepared to go to as much as £130m to sign him – representing a significant profit for United if they do sell. United have no desire to lose Pogba on top of that and Real are already exploring alternatives should their interest continue to be rebuffed.
