Manchester United make approach to sign Blaise Matuidi from Juventus

Blaise Matuidi is on Manchester United’s radar (PA Images) Manchester United have made an approach to sign Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi, according to reports. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is aiming to sign a new midfielder this summer following Ander Herrera’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain. Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff is on United’s radar but the club have been put off a move due to his £50 million valuation. Spain Under-21 midfielder Dani Olmo and Everton’s Idrissa Gueye have also been linked with moves to Old Trafford. But according to Le Parisien, Matuidi is wanted by United and the club have ‘come forward’ with an approach. Matuidi is currently in pre-season training with Juventus (Getty Images) Everton, Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco and Lyon are also interested in signing the 32-year-old, according to the report. But so far, Juventus have refused to entertain offers for the France international and have ‘no intention’ of selling him this summer.
