Manchester United target Jack Grealish warned over accepting £70m transfer from Aston Villa

Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish has been warned about joining Manchester United (Picture: Getty) Jack Grealish has been told there is no guarantee he will be able to realise his Champions League ambitions if he leaves Aston Villa for Manchester United. The Red Devils are eyeing a £70million summer deal for Grealish, who helped Villa secure their return to the Premier League last season and has continued to impress this term. Grealish is said to be interested in joining Manchester United and has reportedly told friends he wants to move to Old Trafford. But former England defender Joleon Lescott says a move to Manchester United does have its problem, with the club still struggling under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Red Devils are currently eighth in the Premier League – six points behind fourth-placed Chelsea – and will likely have to settle for another year in the Europa League unless they win the competition this season. Lescott told Grand National: ‘When you look at the spectrum of teams, Manchester United are still a big club but in terms of Grealish’s ability, if he leaves Aston Villa he’s going to want to play Champions League and that’s not guaranteed at United, even in the future. ‘I would love to see him test himself in the highest level because I think he’s capable of playing at real heights.
