Oxlade-Chamberlain: Man City can be beaten

Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain insists Manchester City are not unbeatable. The two sides meet at Anfield on Sunday with Pep Guardiola’s men yet to suffer defeat in the Premier League on their way to building a 15-point lead at the summit. With many tipping City to go the season unbeaten, the trip to Merseyside represents one of the toughest tests for Guardiola’s side between now and the end of the campaign. Before he faces the leaders, Oxlade-Chamberlain insisted they are not invincible. “Of course they’re not,” he said. “They’re still human. They haven’t lost many games but of course they are beatable. “We saw Bristol City do really well there the other night (losing 2-1 in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final). “It just shows that anyone in football can go and have a good game and get the right result. “Playing at Anfield we’re always confident we’re going to win the game. “When I used to come to Anfield as an away player, I always knew it was going to be a hard game, no matter what kind of form your team was in. “When the fans get going and the boys play like they can, it’s a really tough afternoon for whoever we play. “We know we can beat City. We have to be good on the day. We need to defend well and attack like we know we can. “We have everything we need to go and get the right result.” The post Oxlade-Chamberlain: Man City can be beaten appeared first on Football365....
