Poch explains Nkoudou loan, jokes about January transfers

Mauricio Pochettino has discussed the prospect of incoming January transfers at Tottenham. The north London club are not expected to sign anyone this month, nor have they been linked with many players. Their main transfer business regards keeping Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen at Wembley. But Pochettino was once again quizzed over potential signings on Friday. “Until today, now, nobody is close to arriving in this transfer window. Maybe in the last five minutes since we came in here who knows,” he joked. “But when we stepped into this room nothing. “I think you know how the business is today. I think Tottenham is a club that in three and a half years I’ve seen a minimum of 100 names linked and in the end we sign a few. “We’re working. We’re awake to the market. If something is available on terms we can take, of course we’ll do it. But if not, it’s difficult.” One done deal involving Tottenham saw Georges-Kevin Nkoudou leave on loan for Burnley earlier this month. “GK wasn’t involved too much and of course he’s young and he needed to play more and feel more involved in the games,” Pochettino said, explaining the decision to let the winger go. “It’s a great opportunity for him to show for Burnley. I hope and I wish he plays a lot there and can show his quality there.” The post Poch explains Nkoudou loan, jokes about January transfers appeared first on Football365....
