Prem clubs on alert as quartet demand Sporting exit

Four more Premier League targets are hoping to join the expected Sporting Lisbon exodus this summer. Goalkeeper Rui Patricio and Daniel Podence have already had their contracts with the Portuguese club cancelled, while manager Jorge Jesus has left for Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. The club face the prospect of further departures, with players eminently unhappy at their recent treatment. The training ground was breached last month by around 50 fans, who proceeded to physically assault a number of players in a calculated attack. President Bruno De Carvalho has also made a number of controversial comments about the squad, with Sporting failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League. William Carvalho, Gelson Martins, Bruno Fernandes and Bas Dost have all now filed notice with the Portuguese Securities Market Commission to inform that they are breaking their contracts with “just cause”. Patricio is on the radar for Wolves, while Carvalho has been linked with Arsenal and West Ham. Martins and Fernandes are both reportedly wanted by Liverpool, and Newcastle are rumoured to like Dost.   The post Prem clubs on alert as quartet demand Sporting exit appeared first on Football365....
