The Red Devils held talks with Spurs over the Belgian at the end of last season but United were put off by Tottenham’s £75million. However, Spurs are resigned to losing the 29-year-old this summer given a clause in his contract allows him to leave for just £25m in 12 months’ time. United have explored other possibilities since their last meeting with Spurs but Tottenham have since indicated that a deal could be done, according to Yahoo.
